| Hi,
I recently buy 2 Black knight 11g brushless motor. Initialy on the description it say 296 g traction ... now it say 200g traction. So i made This engine is ok for f3p on Aito ?
I have also 25 g 400 mah lipo and 6 g servos, 5 g ESC and 5 g receiver .
Anyone has this combo ?
Also .. the motor has 4 wires ... wich ones are for the controler ? 3 wires are somehow group together ... I will put some pictures .

| You have the perfect combo for an aito (I think than 400mA is perhaps too, it's realy good, but a 300mA is better for your combo)
If you're meticullous during the construction, your aito will be under the 130g!
Yes, put somes pictures of your motor because i don't understand the story of the 4 wires lol

| Dear Christian
Don't worry about the power of the BK11. yes it was first written 296g trust but this was with a power supply. After our tests we found out it was a bit more than 230g with a standard 300 2S mAh.
So we prefered to say it was only 200g trust in order to have better performances than annouced
About your Aîto don't worry. The Aîto can come really light (specially with this motor). With a 2204/54 we get it at 165g with 450mAh batteries
With the BK 11g you should get it at 150g or so. Use enamalled wire to lighten the servos. also i suggest you to install the elevator servo close to the Rudder servo and use Push-Pull wire to move the elevator.
Another idea to lighten the plane is to thin the fuselage sides up to 1.5mm thickness. use enemalled wire to replace receiver antenna and solder the enemalled wires of the servos directly to the receiver plugs. in this matter you could get your atito around 130g or less.
Our lightest Aîto was 126g flying weight with the following equipments: Motor: AXI 2203/46 (18g) ESC: PHX 10 Lipo: 2S 300mAh receiver: 5g prop: 8x4.3 GWS 3pcs of 6 gramms servos lighten to 5g
About the 4 wires, check carrefully, maybe a wire unsoldered from another wire group. you just need to resolder to it.
really you do not need to worry Anyway, if after your testings, you feel like you would need more power, you can send me back the BK11 and i'll replace them for AXI motors.
best regards Jérôme | |

| Thank you for quick response .
The picture of the BK http://www.flightaddicted.ro/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=2933
Anyway... right now 130g for aito seems to me misson inposible. After I weight the plane and electronics I got 180 g without CA.. The plane weight 99 g empty.
Can you show me how to open the servo .. there is no screws . For this servo http://shop.donuts-models.com/boutique/fiche_produit.cfm?type=94&ref=04DM-EP6_0&code_lg=lg_fr&pag=1&num=18
I'll search on the internet how to thin the fuselage.
I'm not worry .. i'm sure everthing will be just ok.. i just need some guidance.

| Ok got the picture
Don't worry worry about N°1 it is normal the 3 phases are N° 2,3 and 4
To thin your fuselage use an electric rabot (not sure of the english term) Anyway you can do it by sanding of with Hot wire.
About your battery, try to use a 300mAh not more than 16g your 450 2S is quite heavy.
lighten your receiver(take off the shrink tube around and replace the antenna by enameled wire.
for servos take off the Stikers and take off the bottom of servos, and replace all the wires by enamelled wire (2/10)
Do replace the ESC silicone wires by enameled wire and whorten the BEC wires. Try to use the less glue you can (for exemple i can Build 7 planes with only a 20g CA glue bottle)
Then you could reach the lightest weight
as i said an Aîto with 2204/54, PHX 10, 3x EP 6.0g servos, 5g receiver and 25g lipo battery we always get 165g
99g for the Foam parts of the Aïto is strange. Maybe something wrong with your weighter. i'll recheck tomorrow Anyhow, if you cannot reach 140g i'll replace the BK 11 motors for AXI 2204/54. then no more problesm for you.
My first purpose it to have happy customers
Please advise.

| 99 g is the weight with accesories and carbon rods.
The foam weight 89 g.
Maybe my weighter is off scale ..
I have a rotay tool from proxxon (something like dremel tools ) ... i think I need a suport for the tool and a steady hand.
Changing the wire is a simple operation...
I'll keep you posted.. | |

| Salut Claude
Cela dépend de ce que veux vraiment en faire à 140g je conseille ploutôt l'AXI 2203/52 ou alors le tout nouveau CBM quis sera dispo d'ici 2-3 semaines.

| Hi ,
I have finished my aito .. I have milled soldered.. glued .. and the result is ...165 g.. I don't know how you guys make 130--140 g.. I have milled every cm.. Anyway a friend a-of mine has one at 180g with axi 2203 and it flies verry well.
Here are some pictures with the building. http://www.flightaddicted.ro/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=4074&g2_page=3
I think next weekend i will try .. the first one with black kight .. and the second one i will use axi 2203 or 2204 ...
If it doesn work with black knight i will buy a vega or a click..
Thanks Cristian | |

| dear christian Well that sound strange, built my litest AITO milt only on the fuselage and the Weight was 129g with an AXI 2203 and 3 lighten servos and 300mAh batteries.
165g Aitos are non milled version with only ESC, Servos and receiver leigthen. standard Aïto weight out of the box is between 170 to 180g (depending on glue)
Anyway don't worry the BK 11 has 255 g trust. If you don't think enough power, and if you want change plane i suggest ELIPSIA; THE elipsia can fly at 140 to 150g as slow as an vega at 110g because of high wing area and ultra reactive availability.

| hi, I have tested "by hand" the motor and seems to hover at 60-70% throtle so i think is ok for F3P .. i will try the Aito in this configuration in this weekend I use 400 mah from thunder power . The batteries are lighten with no cover and lighten wires and it weight 24 grams . I think i will use finaly Flight Power 350 mah 21 g I might try to get some weight of it ... only from rudder (milled i loose 1 g ) and the antena maybe .. 1 g now the receiver has 5 g but that's all . With the batteries and milling and antena I will loose another 5 g ... So i'm not even near your weight Strange thing about the material. The 2 parts of the fusselage .. one has 14 g and the other one 12 g .. Thanks for your quick response.. Cristian | |
